How NOT to use scissors

Today has been one crazy minute after another.  Bright and early this morning Matthew was snipping away with his little school scissors and took a rather large slice out of his finger.  He thinks it is so great that he started to bleed.  I had to play nurse and get him all bandaged up.... only to have him rip it off a few hours later.

As you all know I am cheap.....or maybe thrifty is a better word.  I hate it when the kids waste things.  For some reason both Matthew and Mckeely love to unroll the toilet paper and watch it spin and make a mess all over the bathroom floor.  

    Well the other day I had just put another roll of toilet paper out.  When I walked past the bathroom I saw this little trail of tissue shreds.  I followed the trail and found Maleeya hugging a huge wad of tissue.   She screamed bloody murder when I tried to take it away.  And yes I put it back in the bathroom for the kids to wipe with later......I said I was thrifty.

Mckeely making her own scriptures

Today we went to church, as we where sitting on the bench I looked down at Mckeely sitting next to me.  I could tell she was thinking, She looked at me and said, "Mom you didn't bring me any Scriptures, the other kids have scriptures"  I told her I was sorry and next week we would try to bring her some.  A few minutes later I looked down and she had gotten her little note book and was filling in the lines with her pen.  Mckeely looked up at me and said, "Mom since you didn't bring me scriptures I will just write my own.  I am good at it watch how fast I am."

Matthew's first look at his lack of teeth

Matthew and Suzanne at Olive Garden on Jan. 5th 2009. Matthew was just a few hours post op from having 5 teeth removed, some due to being loose, some due to abscess from prior work. Due to Matthew only having 2 chambers instead of 4 in his heart, our Cardiologist prefers to have us go to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Not that they can't handle tooth extractions here in Idaho, but we don't have experienced pediatric cardio  Anesthesiologist here.
